New Delhi. The festive month of October has been very good for car companies. Car sales have increased significantly during the festive season. Today, almost all automakers have shared their sales data. According to this, the sales of almost all have increased. Maruti Suzuki has been at number one with sales of around 1.60 lakh cars.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited said on Tuesday that its total sales have increased by 21 percent to 1,47,072 units in October. The company sold a total of 1,38,335 cars in the same month last year. Apart from this, the sales of cars in the mini segment increased to 24,936 units. This segment includes models like Alto and S-Presso. Cars like Baleno, Celerio, DZire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S and WagonR were the best selling models of the company during this period.

MG Motor sales up 53 percent
On the other hand, MG Motor’s sales have grown 53 per cent year-on-year to 4,367 units last month. The company said in a statement that it had sold 2,863 cars in the same month last year. The company said that its monthly production increased to 5,008 units in October, which includes 784 electric vehicles (MG ZS EV).

Nissan Motor sales up 45 percent
Nissan Motor India’s total sales increased by 45 percent to 10,011 units in October. The company had supplied a total of 6,917 units to the dealers this month last year. Nissan Motor India said in a statement that last month the company sold 3,061 units in the domestic market and exported 6,950 units. Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said, “Supply has increased in the festive season. During this time, customers have given priority to getting the vehicle fast and convenient finance.”

Tremendous increase in sales of Tata Motors
Indian carmaker Tata Motors’ total sales grew 15.49 percent to 78,335 units. The company sold a total of 67,829 vehicles in the same month last year. Tata Motors’ total domestic sales grew 17 per cent to 76,537 units as against 65,151 units in the same month a year ago. During this period, the sales of passenger vehicles (PV), including electric vehicles (EV) in the domestic market, increased by 33 percent to 45,423 units. It stood at 34,155 units in October 2021.

Hyundai Motor up 33 percent
The total sales of Hyundai Motor has increased by 33 percent to 58,006 units in the month of October. Giving this information, the company said that it had sent 43,556 units to dealers in October 2021. The company’s sales in the domestic market increased by 30 percent to 48,001 units last month. It stood at 37,021 units in October 2021.
