New Delhi. The country’s leading mining company Vedanta Limited has announced the fifth interim dividend while giving a big gift to its shareholders. The company informed the exchange that it will pay a dividend of Rs 20.50 per share to its shareholders. The company has declared an interim dividend of 2050 per cent. Based on the face value of Re 1, the value of dividend per share will be Rs 20.50. For this, the company will release 7,621 crores.

Earlier in the current financial year, Vedanta Limited has distributed a profit of Rs 81 as dividend to its shareholders 4 times and now again the company has pleased the investors by announcing the fifth interim dividend.

What will be the record date for receiving the dividend?
According to information provided to Access by Vedanta Limited, the company has fixed April 7, 2023 as the record date for payment of dividend. That is, till April 7, investors whose names will be registered as shareholders in the company’s records will be given a dividend of Rs 20.50. The interim dividend will be paid within the stipulated time frame.

Total Rs 81 paid in 4 dividends in FY23
On May 6, 2022, Vedanta had declared an interim dividend of ₹ 31.50 per share. After this, on 26 July 2022, Vedanta gave a dividend of ₹ 19.50 to its shareholders. Divided interim dividend again for ₹ 17.50 and ₹ 12.50 per share on 29 November 2022 and 3 February 2023.

Vedanta is one of the highest dividend paying companies in the country with a yield of 29.89 per cent. Meanwhile, shares of Vedanta closed over 1 per cent higher at Rs 275.50 on the NSE on Tuesday.

Along with the announcement of dividend, the company also informed that its Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ajay Goyal has resigned from his post and the name of the new CFO will be announced in his place at the right time.
