This car can run up to 770 km in a single charge.
It is mated to a 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.

New Delhi. Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch India’s first locally assembled luxury electric car (EV) Mercedes EQS 580 4matic (Mercedes EQS 580). The company will take the curtain from it on 30 September. Till now Mercedes’ electric cars were imported from other countries. Now the locally assembled electric car price is also expected to be lower than the imported car.
Mercedes EQS 580 electric sedan will get all kinds of luxury features. It is built on Mercedes’ Dedicated Electric Vehicle Architecture (EVA). The EQS 580 AMG looks similar to its petrol version, but with some special features added.

The design of the car will be amazing
Talking about its design, there is a closed and blacked-out grille at the front, which immediately indicates that it is an EV. Apart from this, the sharp LED headlamp unit in the car gives it a sporty look. Frameless doors, flush door handles and 19-inch alloy wheels are some of the other highlights of the vehicle.
770 km range
The EQS 580 will be offered with a dual-motor set-up. This means that it will have one motor each on both the axles. This powertrain develops 516 bhp and 856 Nm of peak torque, which is mated to a 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. Apart from this, this electric sedan will come with a 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which is claimed to give a range of up to 770 km on a single charge.

What will be the cost of the car?
The prices of the EQS 580 will be revealed on 30 September 2022. Its ex-showroom price is expected to be under Rs 1.80 crore. Apart from this, this electric sedan will be locally assembled at Mercedes-Benz India’s world-class manufacturing plant located at Chakan near Pune in Maharashtra. It will compete with Audi e-tron GT, Porsche Taycan etc.
