get refund
If a train is cancelled, passengers can take back the ticket money. Passengers who book e-tickets from IRCTC website do not have to do anything to get ticket refund. Railway automatically gives refund to them. In case of train cancellation, the refund will be credited to the customer’s bank account/credit card/e-wallet from which the payment for the ticket has been made. Tickets purchased at the reservation counter can be canceled at the computerized reservation counter up to 72 hours after the scheduled departure of the train.
Book general tickets also from the app
Passengers can now book unreserved tickets up to 20 km from the UTS ON MOBILE App. This has happened due to changes in the UTS (Unreserved Ticket System) system of the Railways. Earlier, passengers could book general tickets only up to 5 km from the UTS on mobile app. Even now the distance has been extended in the sub-urban areas. First where tickets can be booked for a distance of up to 2 kms.
