Weekly Gold Price: Gold strengthens by ₹ 42, silver rises by ₹ 1,405, know the condition of the bullion market for the whole week

New Delhi. The weekly prices of gold have increased in the Indian bullion market. At the same time, silver has also become expensive. In this trading week, there has been a slight increase in the price of gold by Rs 42 per 10 grams, while the price of silver has increased by Rs 1,405 per kg. According to the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association i.e. IBJA, at the beginning of this business week (October 31 to November 4) i.e. on October 31, the rate of 24 carat gold was 50,480, which increased to Rs 50,522 by Friday. It is 10 grams. At the same time, the price of silver of 999 purity has increased from Rs 57,350 to Rs 58,755 per kg.

It is noteworthy that the prices issued by IBGA give information about the standard price of gold of different purity. All these prices are before tax and making charges. The rates issued by IBGA are universal across the country but the prices do not include GST.

Gems and jewelery exports up 55 per cent in FY22
Significantly, gems and jewelery exports have picked up in 2021-22 and have increased by about 55 percent to $ 39.15 billion as compared to the previous financial year. Industry body Gems and Jewelery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) said that the gross export of gems and jewelery stood at $ 25.40 billion in 2020-21.

Strength in gold reserve
Significantly, in the week ending October 28, 2022, the country’s gold reserve increased by $ 556 million to $ 37.762 billion. In the week ending October 21, 2022, the value of the country’s gold reserves declined by $247 million to $37,206 billion.
