We are saying this because there was a time in the life of Divyang Dhan Singh Koranga, a resident of Shantipuri, a small village in Udham Singh Nagar district, when he had to struggle even to arrange bread for two times for the family. . But, in the same odd circumstances, he became a part of the Indian wheelchair cricket team in the year 2018 and then whatever the situation may have been, but wheelchair cricketer Dhan Singh Koranga did not look back.

Dhan Singh Koranga told that in my bad times, I got a lot of support from family and friends, for which I express my gratitude to them. Told that he got information about wheelchair cricket in 2017 and then after passing the trial held in Agra got an opportunity to play against Bangladesh in 2018 international tournament held in Rudrapur. Disabled cricketer Dhan Singh Koranga was made the captain of the Uttarakhand wheelchair cricket team in 2021. Uttarakhand wheelchair cricket team captain Dhan Singh Koranga has also been honored by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on behalf of World Disabled Day and Youth Welfare Department.

First international match played against Bangladesh
Dhan Singh told that he had to face many problems in life due to bad feet since childhood. A time came when I felt that maybe I cannot do anything now. Meanwhile, I met Harish Chowdhary in Pantnagar and he informed me about wheelchair cricket. After this, I went to Agra in 2017 and gave a trial, where I got selected for the Indian wheelchair cricket team and played my first international match against Bangladesh in Rudrapur. He told that after playing the first match of wheelchair cricket, I never looked back, while during this time there were many problems in my life. My family and my friends supported me a lot during this crisis.

CM Dhami encouraged
Told that the wheelchair cricket team was completely disintegrated during Kovid-19. Then I talked to all the players and motivated them and the team players agreed to play again. Meanwhile, before the match held in Delhi, I was given the command of the Uttarakhand wheelchair cricket team. After getting the captaincy, my priority was to improve the team’s game. Now our team is playing well and recently we have won the Kalinga Trophy held in Odisha. After which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met our team at the CM residence and encouraged them. Three demands were placed before him from our side, he has assured to fulfill all the three demands soon.
