The European Union and NATO are forming a coalition for war with Russia, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said. At a press conference following talks with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, he compared their actions with actions of Adolf Hitler.
Lavrov accused the European Union of obstructing an agreement between Russia and member countries regarding the development of common spaces in the economy, in the humanitarian sphere and in the field of internal security. “All this is behind, all this is in the past,” the minister said.
In April, Lavrov accused NATO of waging a “proxy war” with Russia. So he called the supply of weapons to Ukraine in response to the Russian invasion. Deputy Minister Sergei Ryabkov also noted that American arms supplies to Ukraine increase the risk of a direct clash between Russia and the United States.
