On Thursday, June 23, the European Parliament adopted a resolution in support of granting Ukraine and Moldova the status of candidates for accession to the European Union.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the message of the Member of the European Parliament Volodymyr Bilchyk Twitter.
“The European Parliament by an overwhelming majority adopts a resolution on the candidate status of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia: the results of the voting speak for themselves. A clear signal of support for candidate status for Ukraine and Moldova ahead of today’s EU meeting,” he wrote.
The resolution was supported by 529 MEPs, 45 against and 14 abstained.
We will remind, today the heads of the states and the governments which will meet at the summit in Brussels, will officially unanimously declare that Ukraine receives the status of the candidate for accession to EU.
