The government intends to introduce credit holidays for Russians until September 30 – The Moscow Times

The bill on the protection of Russian citizens from unfriendly actions of some countries and international organizations provides for credit holidays until September 30. The document and the explanatory note to it were published in the database of the State Duma.

If necessary, the government will be able to extend the period of their validity after September 30.

The credit holiday regime provides for a reduction or deferment of loan payments, as well as other changes in the terms of the loan agreement. It operated in Russia during the coronavirus pandemic from March 20, 2020 to September 30, 2021 and from November 1 to December 31, 2021.

The bill is also intended to simplify the current permitting and licensing procedures governing the procurement of goods, works, services to meet state and municipal needs, and the regulation of legal relations related to insurance activities.
