The Norwegian Refugee Council opened in Stryi

In Stryi, specialists of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) opened a humanitarian headquarters “Klaptyk nadiya” where they provide legal support and support to IDPs.

This was reported by the press service of the Lviv OVA, Ukrinform reports.

“Specialists of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) welcome visitors to Strya, on the basis of the Higher Vocational School No. 8, which currently houses the regional humanitarian headquarters of “Klaptyk nadiya”. They work daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,” the message reads.

The team of lawyers provides free legal assistance and helps solve the problems of internally displaced persons and other persons who suffered as a result of the war and found shelter in the Stryi district of Lviv region.

They advise and provide detailed information on evacuation from cities where hostilities are ongoing, procedures and documents necessary for crossing the state border of Ukraine to neighboring countries, stay and employment in them, temporary protection or refugee status, preparatory actions for receiving compensation for destroyed housing , receiving IDP status, pensions and other social benefits.

As of July 22, the Stryi district of the Lviv region provided shelter to almost 35,000 IDPs.
