35 year old opening batsman sold most expensively in auction, MI franchise team bought it – Hindustan News Hub

The auction for the SA20 2025 season was held in Cape Town. A total of 13 players were bought in this auction, out of which Reeza Hendrix was the most expensive. Reeza Hendricks was bought by MI Cape Town for 4.3 million Rand. The second biggest purchase was of England fast bowler Richard Gleeson, who was bought by Sunrisers Eastern Cape for 2.3 million rand. South African Test captain Temba Bavuma was not bought by any franchise. In addition to the purchases in this auction, the franchise also selected six rookie picks (South African players aged 22 years or younger) to complete their squad for the season. The third season of SA20 will be played from January 9 next year and the final will be held on February 8.
