Team India’s star player Shikhar Dhawan retired from international cricket and domestic cricket on 24 August 2024. Shikhar Dhawan took this decision after being out of Team India for a long time. There are contenders like Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal in Team India to open in his place. Let us tell you that Shikhar Dhawan will not be seen playing in IPL as well. ILT20 CEO David White is looking to make the third season of the tournament bigger and better than the previous seasons. Apart from bringing more people to the venues during the tournament and providing a better experience to those watching the game on screen, White is also keen to include the best players to make ILT20 Season 3 a big hit.

Speaking to the Times of India, White said that he is keen to include former India opener Shikhar Dhawan in the team. White said that ILT20 is interested in letting Dhawan play in the UAE and they are currently looking for a way to do so. He also said that Shikhar Dhawan still has international cricket left in him and that is why his league is looking to see him play.

Made his debut for India in the year 2010

Shikhar Dhawan is known for his explosive batting and has won many matches for Team India on his own. He made his international debut for the Indian team in 2010. For a few years after his debut, he was in and out of Team India. But after 2013, he became an important pivot of Team India’s batting order. He scored the most runs for India in the Champions Trophy 2013 and played a key role in winning the title. He has scored 2315 runs in 34 Test matches, 6793 runs in 167 ODI matches and 1759 runs in T20 Internationals with the help of 11 half-century innings at an average of 27.92. He scored a total of 24 centuries in all three formats.
