Ravichandran Ashwin has reached number one in the ICC Test rankings and has achieved the number-1 crown. He has gained one place. Ashwin has 870 rating points. Australia’s Jos Hazlewood is at second place. He has 847 rating points. Indian team’s superstar fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has lost one place. He is at number three. He has 847 rating points. Number four is Kagiso Rabada. Rabada has also suffered the loss of one place. He has 834 rating points.
Showed strength against England
Ravichandran Ashwin performed strongly against England and played an important role in Team India winning the series. He took a total of 26 wickets in the series. The fifth Test against England was his 100th Test match. In this match he took a total of 9 wickets in his name. Ashwin is the second highest wicket taker for India in the history of Test cricket.
