Travis Head wins ICC award

Australia’s World Cup-winning star player Travis Head has become the ICC Player of the Month for November 2023 on the basis of his excellent performance. Travis Head has won this award by defeating his teammate Glenn Maxwell and Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami. While on one hand Glenn Maxwell scored a brilliant double century against Afghanistan during the World Cup, on the other hand Mohammed Shami took the most wickets during the ODI World Cup. In the month of November, Travis Head scored 220 runs in ODIs, which included a half-century and a century. Travis Head said that he was lucky that Australia still had faith in him for the World Cup even after breaking his hand, so this was a great opportunity for me. He says that I thought I batted the best I have ever batted in the World Cup, so perhaps it is important to rest before every big tournament. He said that receiving this award is a great honor, but it is a team effort.

Travis Head has also been the player of the match in the ICC World Cup 2023 semi-finals and final.

While Travis Head had scored a half-century in the ICC ODI World Cup semi-finals, in the final against Team India, he played a big role in helping his team win by scoring a brilliant century. He has also received the Player of the Match award in both these matches. In the semi-finals, he also took the wickets of Heinrich Klaasen and Marco Johnson of South Africa, due to which the Australian team managed to make a comeback in the match. He also scored an aggressive 62 runs in 48 balls. In the final, he also took an excellent catch of Team India captain Rohit Sharma, which ended the aggressive batting innings of Rohit and the match changed from here itself. In the second innings, when the Australian team was chasing runs, the target was 241 runs. He scored a brilliant 137 runs in 120 balls to help Australia win the match by six wickets. Earlier, David Warner had won this award in November 2021.
