The player auction process for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season will be held on December 19 in Dubai. This time, 333 players have been shortlisted for the mini auction, which includes 214 Indians and 119 foreign players. Before this auction, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has shared the list of seven players with all the franchises considering their bowling action as suspicious. In the earlier report, the name of young left-arm fast bowler Chetan Sakariya was also included, but later BCCI, while solving this confusion, said that such a situation happened due to the names of two players being the same.

According to a Cricbuzz report, Chetan Sakariya’s name was also in the list of seven bowlers whose suspicious actions were submitted to the franchises by the BCCI before the auction. However, this mistake was made unknowingly by the board. After this, it was clarified by the board that Chetan’s name was not among the bowlers whose bowling action was considered suspicious. Saurashtra Cricket Association President Jaydev Shah in his statement on this entire situation said that it was a kind of misunderstanding and mistake that Chetan was never called and he is not in that list. I understand that the name of a bowler from Karnataka should have been there and the IPL is looking into the matter. Franchisees are also being informed about this. Let us tell you that Chetan Sakariya is included in the player auction list this time, in which he has been included in the base price of Rs 50 lakh.

Apart from this, Indian batsman Manish Pandey, who has been seen bowling spin whenever required in the match in the previous seasons, has been banned by BCCI considering his bowling action as completely suspicious. Apart from this, KL Sreejith of Karnataka has also been banned from bowling.

Actions of these 6 domestic players were found suspicious

The six domestic players whose bowling action has been found suspicious by the board include Chirag Gandhi of Gujarat Cricket Association, Guleria of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association, Rohan Kunnumal and Salman Nizar of Kerala Cricket Association, Tanush Kotian of Mumbai Cricket Association and Vidarbha Cricket Association. The names of Saurabh Dubey and Arpit are included.
