After IPL retention, RCB team has traded Cameron Green to Mumbai Indians. RCB paid an amount of Rs 17.50 crore for this. Green is a player adept at excellent bowling as well as strong batting. RCB director Mo Bobat said Cameron Green can be an explosive package for Royal Challengers Bangalore, especially at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. In RCB Bold Diaries, he said that he is perfectly fit for the role of power hitter in the middle order. He is an excellent and skilled batsman. He has the shots to play both fast and spin bowling. Green is also a great fielder. He has taken some good catches while fielding in recent times and has been quite impressive while fielding in the gully.

RCB’s new head coach Andy Flower was also excited about the inclusion of Cameron Green in the squad. Flower said that our focus was really around the middle order and we can improve the middle order. We want to strike the right balance on foreign players. All-rounders are important in today’s times. In such a situation, we debated a lot and Green has entered.

After the entry of Cameron Green, RCB is left with Rs 23.25 crore before the IPL 2024 auction. The team has released 11 players in IPL retention. Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, David Willey, Wayne Parnell, Sonu Yadav, Avinash Singh, Siddharth Kaul, Kedar Jadhav. Shahbaz Ahmed has been sent to Sunrisers Hyderabad through trade.
