Closing ceremony of Special Olympics Bharat was held in Delhi and Gwalior, Boss Ball event was held on the last day – Hindustan News Hub

Special Olympics Bharat has ended after a spectacular 4-day event. Hockey Team India’s Vice President Devendra Pratap Singh Tomar, District Panchayat President Durgesh Kumar Singh as Chief Guest and Deputy Sports Director Pallavi Rai were present at the closing ceremony in Gwalior. Tenpin Bowling Federation (India) Vice President and Tenpin Bowling Association of Delhi’s General Secretary Surendra Popli, International Bowler H.V. Sarda and Anuradha Sarda, Special Olympics Bharat’s Treasurer Anu Sood and Social Activist Anil Sharma were present at the closing ceremony of Special Olympics Bharat held in Delhi. On the last day, Boss Mixed Team event was organized in which a very good coordination of team work and strategy was seen. Uttarakhand’s team won in MD01. At the same time, excellent performance was also seen from the teams of Delhi, Karnataka, Assam and Uttar Pradesh in which they secured first place in MD02, MD03, MD04 and MD05.

A total of 84 athletes from 21 states participated

A total of 84 athletes from 21 states participated in the 4-day Special Olympics Bharat, which also included 42 coaches. The Gujarat team gave a great performance in the bowling mixed team event, in which they managed to become the winner in the M1 category. On the other hand, Pondicherry secured the first position in the M2 category, while Chhattisgarh managed to win the gold medal in the M3 category. In the bowling doubles category at Special Olympics Bharat, Uttar Pradesh topped the F1 division, while Delhi won in F2 and Odisha in F3. On the other hand, Delhi secured the first position in M1 and M2, while Assam and Ladakh won the M3 and M4 events respectively.
