In the final match of Women’s The Hundred being played in England, the Wales Fire team will face the London Spirit team. In the eliminator match, London Spirit won by a huge margin of 8 wickets against Oval Invincibles and confirmed their place for the title match. In this match played at the Oval ground, Indian women’s team star player Deepti Sharma also gave a great performance with the ball in which she gave only 17 runs in her 20 balls and played an important role in preventing the Wales Fire team from scoring a big score.
Oval Invincibles could score only 113 runs
Talking about the eliminator match, the team of Oval Invincibles, batting first, was able to reach a score of only 113 runs in 100 balls. In this match for Oval Invincibles, Alice Capsey scored 30 while Marizanne Kapp scored 26 runs. Apart from this, no other batsman could do much. In bowling for London Spirit, Deepti Sharma may not have been able to take any wicket, but she definitely played an important role in stopping the runs from being scored quickly. While Charlie Dean took 2-2 wickets with the ball for London, Danielle Gibson, Eva Gray and Sarah Glenn took 2-2 wickets each.
Georgia Redmayne’s half-century innings and London registered an easy win
The women’s London Spirit team achieved the target of 114 runs in 100 balls with the loss of only 2 wickets with 9 balls remaining. While Meg Lanning played an innings of 22 runs for the London Spirit team in batting, Georgia Redmayne scored 53 runs in 47 balls. The London Spirit team will now face the Wales Fire team in the final match on August 18.
