Duleep Trophy: Duleep Trophy 2024 is being organized in Indian domestic cricket these days. This tournament started on 5 September and now the second round matches are being played from 12 September. In the first round match of Duleep Trophy, when star players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant of Team India disappointed, a 19-year-old young batsman created a sensation by scoring a century. This batsman was Sarfaraz’s brother Mushir Khan. Mushir made his debut for India A in the Duleep Trophy and played a brilliant innings of 181 runs against India B and broke Sachin Tendulkar’s big record.
In fact, Mushir faced 373 balls and hit 16 fours and 5 sixes in his innings and became the third highest scorer in Duleep Trophy debut match by a teenager (under 20 years of age). Earlier this record was in the name of Sachin Tendulkar, who had scored 159 runs in his Duleep Trophy debut match in January 1991. In this way, Mushir pushed Sachin Tendulkar to the fourth position.
Musheer Khan failed in the second consecutive innings
After the amazing performance in the first innings of his debut match, Musheer was expected to score big in the second innings as well but this time he disappointed. Sarfaraz Khan’s younger brother Musheer could not even open his account in the second innings. Young Indian bowler Akash Deep showed him the way to the pavilion.
After the first round, the second round of Duleep Trophy matches are now being played, in the fourth match of which India B and India C are facing each other. India C scored a huge score of 525 runs in the first innings with Ishan Kishan’s brilliant century. In response, India B’s innings started brilliantly. Abhimanyu Easwaran and N Jagadeesan gave a great start to the team and made a century partnership for the first wicket. After this, in the 40th over, Anshul Kamboj gave the first big blow to India B by dismissing N Jagadeesan at the score of 129 runs.
Sarfaraz also disappointed
Musheer Khan entered the field after Jagdishan returned to the pavilion. Everyone was expecting that Musheer would stay for long in the first innings of this match like he did in the first innings of the previous match but the exact opposite happened. Musheer faced 15 balls and then gifted his wicket to Anshul Kamboj. He was out LBW. The young batsman could score just one run and thus returned to the pavilion after failing in the second consecutive innings of Duleep Trophy. Like Musheer, Sarfaraz could not stay on the crease for long. He was also out LBW by Anshul Kamboj. So far, all the three wickets of India B have gone to Anshul Kamboj’s account. In such a situation, the team captained by Abhimanyu will have to be cautious of this bowler.
