England vs West Indies: England cricket team has to play a series of three ODI and five T20 matches against West Indies. England’s regular captain Jos Buttler is fit for both these series and has returned. Jafar Chauhan has been included in the England team for the first time. Spinner Jaffer, who plays for Yorkshire, said that this is a good opportunity for him to improve his game.
Harry Brook is not part of the squad
Captain Jos Buttler did not play against Australia due to injury and in his absence the responsibility of captaincy was taken over by Harry Brook. Then the England team had to face defeat by 3-2. Before West Indies, England has to play a three-Test series against Pakistan, the squad for which has been announced. It has been told in the press release of the England Cricket Board that when the playing eleven of the third Test against Pakistan will be announced. After that two players will be added for the limited overs series against West Indies. Brook’s name may be among them, currently he is out of the squad.
Jafar said this
Yorkshire leg spinner Jaffer Chauhan has been selected in the England team for the first time. He said that getting selected feels like an absolute dream. I’ve worked on this my whole life. This week has been very good for me. He was announced for the next three years at Yorkshire and was now selected in the England squad. For me it’s a really good opportunity to be around some of the best players in the world, learn as much as I can and hone my game as much as possible. Having big names from England in the Yorkshire dressing room, it doesn’t get any better than that in terms of helping me improve.
