In the exclusive information received by India TV, it has come to light that if the Commonwealth Games are held in Glasgow, then only 10 sports will be included in it. The last time the Commonwealth Games were held in Birmingham in the year 2022, in which 20 sports were included.
When asked about the chances of wrestling being included in the 2026 Commonwealth Games, Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Sanjay Singh said that the CEO meeting with the Commonwealth Games revealed that the organisers in Glasgow are saying that they will not be able to host more than 10 sports and a final decision on which sports will be included is yet to be taken. There is still a 50-50 percent chance of wrestling being included in the Commonwealth Games.
