In such a situation, the franchises have to bear the loss and they also approached the IPL Governing Council regarding this. A complaint was made on which the new rule has now been implemented.
If a foreign player does not participate in the mega auction, he will not be able to play in the next season’s auction also.
If any foreign player does not register himself for the Mega Player Auction on behalf of the IPL Governing Council, he will be banned from the next year’s player auction as well. It is clear from this that it will be necessary for any foreign player to participate in the mega auction of IPL.
Refusing to play in the season will result in a 2 year ban
All the franchises and fans will definitely be very happy with this new rule. For the last few years, there were many players who refused to play just before the start of the season on the pretext of their workload. Now according to the new rule, if a franchise selects a player for its team at the time of auction and later that player refuses to play before the start of the season, then in that case that player will be banned from IPL for 2 years. Will be banned from playing. Along with this, that player will also not be able to give his name for the player auction.
