In the Legends League Cricket, the match was played between India Capitals and Manipal Tigers at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar on 10 October. In this match, India Capitals, batting first, scored 185 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Former Mumbai Indians (MI) batsman Ben Dunk played a stormy innings for India Capitals. He completed his half-century in just 25 balls. During this, there was heavy rain of fours and sixes from Dunk’s bat. After completing the half-century, Ben Dunk became more ferocious and scored 47 runs in the next 22 balls. He played an inning of 97 runs with the help of 8 fours and 7 sixes. During this period his strike rate was 206.38.
37 year old Ben Dunk remained just 3 runs away from his century. Apart from Dunk, Dwayne Smith scored 29 while Dhruv Raval contributed 17 runs. None of the batsmen of Manipal Tigers, who came to chase 185 runs of India Capitals, could stay on the crease, as a result of which the team had to suffer in the form of defeat. Manipal could score only 172 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. In this way India Capitals got their second win in 6 matches.
Knockout matches will be played in Legends League Cricket 2024 from October 12. Talking about the points table, top-ranked Southern Super Stars and third-placed Toyam Hyderabad have qualified for the knockout round. Now only 2 teams are left to be decided. India Capitals is at second place in the table and Konark Surya Odisha is at fourth place.
