The ICC has released the ticket prices for the Women’s T20 World Cup matches starting on October 3. Earlier this important tournament was to be held in Bangladesh but due to the protests after political instability there, the ICC has decided to hold this tournament in the UAE keeping security in mind. The ICC has also announced a new schedule for this in which the matches of the tournament will be played on the grounds of Sharjah and Dubai. At the same time, a big decision has also been taken along with the ticket prices released by the ICC in which people under the age of 18 will be given free entry to watch the match in the stadium.
The price of tickets will start from just Rs 115
The ticket prices for Women’s T20 World Cup have been released by ICC. They have kept the price of the ticket low, i.e. 5 Dirhams in UAE currency, which would be approximately Rs 115 in Indian currency. This tournament will be organized for 18 days in UAE, for which ICC is trying to ensure that maximum number of people come to the stadium to watch the matches. That is why they have kept the ticket prices very low. ICC adopted a unique method for releasing the ticket prices, in which they promoted Women’s T20 World Cup through a laser show on the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa and also released the ticket prices.
Both semi-finals will be held in Sharjah, the final will be held in Dubai
Talking about the schedule of the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup, this time a total of 10 teams are participating, which have been divided into two groups of 5 each. Group A includes women’s teams from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand. Group B includes women’s teams from Bangladesh, South Africa, England, Scotland and West Indies. The last group match will be played on October 15, while the top-2 teams from both the groups will directly confirm their place for the semi-finals. The semi-final matches will be held on October 17 and 18 at Sharjah ground, while the final match of the tournament will be played on October 20.
