Three players have been fined and one banned for Level 1 breaches of the ICC Code of Conduct during the first T20I between Zimbabwe and Ireland at Harare Sports Club. But ICC has also banned Sikandar Raza for 2 matches.

ICC issued statement

The ICC said in a press release that Zimbabwe captain, Sikandar Raza and Ireland players, Curtis Campher and Joshua Little were charged with breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the first T20 match between Zimbabwe and Ireland at Harare Sports Club. Fine has been imposed. Level 1 breaches according to ICC rules include a minimum fine, an official reprimand, a maximum fine of 50 per cent of the player’s match fee and one or two demerit points.

In this match, Zimbabwe team won the toss and decided to bowl first. After this, the Irish team scored 147 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. While chasing the target, Zimbabwe team had lost four wickets till the score of 91. After this, Sikandar Raza was taking the team towards victory by holding one end. Meanwhile, the Irish player tried to provoke Raza, in which Irish bowler Joshua Little sledged Raza and he became very angry at this. As soon as Sikandar reached the non-strike end, Curtis Campher said something to him and on this Raza got furious and ran towards him with the bat. After this the umpire had to intervene and tried to calm Raza down.
