A three-match ODI series is being played between India A women’s team and Australia A women’s team. The Australian team has also won the second match of this series. Australia A women’s team has now gained an unassailable lead of 2-0 in this series. They had also won the first match of this series. On the strength of opener Maddie Darke’s unbeaten half-century and excellent bowling, Australia A won by eight wickets over India A on Friday.

India A made a low score

Australia A team won the first ODI match of the home series by four wickets. Talking about the second match of the series, in this match Australia A team won the toss and decided to bowl first. After this India A women’s team batting first was all out for 218 runs in 48 overs in which Tejal Hasabnis scored 63 and Raghavi Bisht scored half-century of 70 runs. It was only due to the innings of these two that India A women’s team was able to reach a respectable score.

Australia chased the target easily

India A women’s team gave Australia a target of 219 runs in 50 overs to win. Chasing this target, Maddie scored a century of 106 runs in 115 balls with seven fours and her opening partner Katie Mack scored 68 runs. Together, they shared a 131-run partnership in 22.4 overs for the first wicket. Captain Tahlia McGrath remained unbeaten on 32 runs, due to which the Australian team did not face any problem in the run chase. Australia scored 221 runs for two wickets in 40.2 overs. The captain and Maddie shared a 52-run partnership for the third wicket.

Disappointing performance of Indian players

Indian bowlers could not stop the Australian batsmen from scoring runs at a rapid pace while the Australian bowlers performed brilliantly in which Maitlan Brown, Nicola Hancock and Charlie Knott took six wickets together. Due to this, the Indian team was reduced to 218 runs two overs before. Tejal hit four fours in her innings while facing 86 balls and Raghvi hit four fours and a six in 93 balls. Both of them made a partnership of 124 runs for the fourth wicket, due to which India’s score reached 176 runs for three wickets in 40 overs. But the Indian batsmen could not take advantage of this and the team lost the remaining seven wickets in eight overs for just 42 runs. The Australian team did not face any problem in the run chase.
