The Indian team has been announced for the first Test match of the 2-match Test series against Bangladesh. Team India has selected 16 players for the first Test, which also includes the name of Rishabh Pant. Pant has returned to the Test team after almost 20 months. Left-arm fast bowler Yash Dayal has also been included in the team for the first time. Bumrah has also come into the team but Mohammed Shami could not make it to the Test team. Players like Rajat Patidar, Devdutt Padikkal and Mukesh Kumar were disappointed this time while wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel managed to retain his place.
21 year old bowler will join Team India’s camp
After the announcement of Team India, now the news is coming that BCCI has invited a 21-year-old off-spinner to join Team India’s camp. The name of this off-spinner is Himanshu Singh who has represented Mumbai team at Under-16 and Under-23 level. The Indian team will play the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai from 19 September. Before this, the team camp will be held in Chennai from 13 to 18 September. 6 feet 4 inches tall Himanshu Singh’s bowling action is very similar to Ravichandran Ashwin and he has been included in the camp to help Indian batsmen deal with Bangladesh’s spin attack.

Himanshu Singh has been a part of BCCI’s ’emerging players’ camps in Anantapur and Bengaluru. Team India’s chief selector Ajit Agarkar and his team have been impressed by Himanshu. This is the reason why this young bowler has been included in Team India’s camp. 21-year-old off-spinner Singh recently surprised everyone with his bowling by taking seven wickets for just 74 runs in a match against Andhra at Alur-1 ground. This match was part of the Dr. (Captain) K. Thimmappaiah Memorial Tournament. Despite not playing for Mumbai’s senior team yet, Himanshu’s impressive performance got him recognition and now he has received an invitation to join Team India’s training camp.
