The first Test match between India and Bangladesh is being organized in Chennai. In this match, Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has performed brilliantly. He scored a century in this match. With this century, he has made a great comeback in Test cricket. Let us tell you that Rishabh Pant came to play in the Test format for the first time after the car accident in December 2022 and he has done wonders by scoring a century in his comeback match. Rishabh Pant has also done something during this match which has once again reminded the fans of former India captain and wicketkeeper MS Dhoni.

Pant did something like this

Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill were in great form for India against Bangladesh on the third day of the first Test in Chennai on Saturday. Although they started slowly, after the drinks break, this young pair started scoring runs very fast against the Bangladesh bowlers. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant was seen setting the fielding for Bangladesh. Pant pointed to Shanto towards the leg side and said, hey, one will come here. There are less fielders here. The special thing was that the Bangladesh captain also changed his fielding.

Fans miss MS Dhoni

This action of Rishabh Pant against Bangladesh has once again reminded the fans of MS Dhoni. Interestingly, MS Dhoni had done something similar during the ODI World Cup in 2019. When the match was being played between India and Bangladesh. At that time Dhoni had asked Sabbir Rahman to remove a fielder. Even then Sabbir Rahman had accepted this suggestion.

Pant played a brilliant innings

Pant completed his sixth Test century of his Test career with the help of 11 fours and 4 sixes in 124 balls. In this way, he became the wicketkeeper to score the most Test centuries for India. He equaled Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s record. Dhoni had scored 6 centuries in 144 innings of 90 Tests. A score of more than 50 has come from his bat after 638 days in Tests. Earlier, Pant had scored a half-century against Bangladesh in Mirpur on 23 December 2022. Pant completed his fifty off 88 balls. During this, he hit 2 fours and 2 sixes. As soon as he completed his half-century, Pant changed his gear and started playing big shots all over the field. After this, he soon took his personal score beyond 80 by scoring 5 fours and 1 six. Till lunch, he was playing after scoring 82 runs. Immediately after lunch, he completed his century and created a new record.
