IND vs ENG: Dhruv Jurel’s luck opened, got a place in Test for the first time; Scored so many runs in first class

Dhruv Jurel In Indian Test Team: The selectors have announced the Indian team for the first two test matches against England. The captaincy of Team India has been handed over to Rohit Sharma. Jasprit Bumrah has got the responsibility of vice-captain. Four spinners have got a chance in the team. Players like Ishan Kishan, Mohammed Shami, Prasidh Krishna and Shardul Thakur have not got a place in the Test team against England. But the selectors have opened the fate of young wicketkeeper Dhuva Jurel and he has got a chance against England.

Has played Under-19 World Cup for India

Young Dhruv Jurel, KL Rahul and KS Bharat have got a chance as wicketkeepers in the Indian team for the first two Test matches against England. There are three wicketkeepers in the Indian team. Jurel was born on 21 January 2001 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. He has played for India in the Under-19 World Cup and has also held the responsibility of vice-captain.

Did a tour of South Africa

Dhruv Jurel is also part of the team that will take on England Lions in the first multi-day match starting on January 17 in Ahmedabad. He was selected for Team India for the Emerging Asia Cup and then toured South Africa with the India A team. He recently scored a half-century for India A in a four-day first class match against South Africa A.

Scored so many runs in first class matches

Dhruv Jurel made his debut for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2023. He made headlines for Rajasthan Royals by scoring 152 runs at an average of 22 and a strike rate of 173. Whereas 22 year old Jurel has scored 790 runs in 15 first class matches, which also includes 1 century. Apart from this, he has scored 189 runs in 10 List-A matches.

First Test match- 25 January to 29 January; Hyderabad

Second Test match- 2 February to 6 February; Visakhapatnam
Third Test match- 15 February to 19 February; Rajkot
Fourth Test match- 23 February to 27 February; Ranchi
Fifth Test match- March 7 to March 11; Hospice
