The last and third match of the 3-match Test series between India and New Zealand has started today i.e. from 1st November at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In this match, New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the toss and decided to bat first. New Zealand had a very bad start in the first innings and the team lost the first wicket at the score of just 15 runs. In the fourth over itself, Devon Conway became the victim of Akash Deep after scoring only 4 runs. After this, captain Tom Latham returned to the pavilion after being out on the ball of Washington Sundar in the 16th over.

Rachin Ravindra also could not do anything special and returned to the pavilion in the 20th over after scoring only 5 runs. After this, Will Young and Daryl Mitchell took the lead and took their team’s score beyond 150. There was a partnership of 87 runs for the fourth wicket between the two batsmen. This partnership was broken by Ravindra Jadeja. He made a comeback for the Indian team by killing two batsmen in his single over. He dismissed wicketkeeper batsman Tom Blundell for a duck after dismissing Will Young in the 45th over. In this way, half of the New Zealand team returned to the pavilion within 159 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja took 5 victims

After this, Daryl Mitchell held one end but wickets continued to fall at intervals from the other side. In this way the entire New Zealand team was reduced to 235 runs in 65.4 overs. Daryl Mitchell scored the highest score of 82 runs. Ravindra Jadeja was the most successful bowler for India, taking 5 wickets while Washington Sundar took 4 wickets.

Ashwin and Siraj remained empty handed

Akash Deep was successful in taking one wicket. Both Mohammed Siraj and R Ashwin could not get a single wicket. In this way a unique record was registered in the name of Ashwin. Actually, this is the first time that the New Zealand team was all out in a Test innings but Ashwin did not get a single wicket. Ashwin took 72 wickets in 22 innings of 12 Test matches against New Zealand. During this period his bowling average has been 18.43.
