Heinrich Klaasen completed his 100 sixes in T20 cricket in the year 2024.
The South African team had to face a crushing defeat by 61 runs in the first match of the four-match T20 series against India at home. In this match, Team India, batting first, scored 202 runs in 20 overs, in response to which the African team was limited to a score of 141 runs. However, despite this, South Africa team’s star player Heinrich Klaasen managed to achieve a big feat in which he has now become a part of a group in which earlier only West Indies players were seen dominating.
Klaasen completes his 100 sixes in T20 in the year 2024
Heinrich Klaasen played an inning of 25 runs in 22 balls in the first T20 match of the series against India in which he managed to hit only one six. With this, Klaasen also completed his 100 sixes in T20 in the year 2024. Klaasen has now become the fourth player in world cricket and the first from South Africa to hit 100 or more sixes in a calendar year in T20 cricket. Before Klaasen, this feat was done by Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell and Chris Gayle. While Puran has done this feat with the bat this year itself, Russell had hit more than 100 sixes in the year 2019. Whereas Chris Gayle has done this feat 6 times. Talking about Klaasen, this year his bat has been seen speaking strongly in this format, in which he hit a total of 38 sixes in the 2024 IPL season while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
