After a bad start, Dharambir did wonders
Dharambir had a very bad start when his first four throws were fouls. But in the fifth throw, he used all his experience and strength and threw a distance of 34.92 meters, which became the basis of his victory. After this, he made the last and sixth throw of 31.59 meters.
Pranav Surma made a best throw of 34.59 meters
On the other hand, Pranav Surma threw his first throw at 34.59 meters and his second throw at 34.19 meters. His third throw was a foul. He could not reach the same mark in his first attempt in the remaining three throws. His first throw itself won him the silver medal. In the final of the F51 category of club throw, Dharamvir and Pranav Surma were successful in winning medals. Amit Kumar was disappointed. He threw his best throw at 23.96 meters. That is why he could not reach the podium. 10 athletes participated in the final and he finished 10th.
Five players have won gold for India in Paris Paralympics
India has so far won a total of 24 medals in the Paris Paralympics 2024, including five gold, 9 silver and 10 bronze medals. India has also equaled the Tokyo Paralympics.
