Kolkata Knight Riders Best Playing XII

KKR Best Playing XII : Among the teams which have won the title so far in IPL, the name of KKR i.e. Kolkata Knight Riders also comes. The team has won the trophy twice, however, for the last few years the team’s performance has not been as per expectations. When the team management reached the auction this time, it must have already decided that Mitchell Starc had to come along at any cost. This was the reason why his price reached Rs 24.75 crore, but KKR did not stop chasing him. However, after this the team did not have enough money left to buy any other high-priced player. Let us now try to understand what could be the possible playing XI of the team when it enters the field to play IPL next year.

KKR bought these players for next year’s IPL

KKR was in the news a lot in the evening of 19th December i.e. the day of IPL auction. The reason for this was Mitchell Starc, on whom the team spent money generously. Some said that this was the right price for Mitchell, but some also said that he had been paid too much. Apart from spending Rs 24.75 crore on Mitchell Starc, other players the team has included in its fold include Mujeeb Ur Rahman worth Rs 2 crore, Sherfane Rutherford worth Rs 1.5 crore, Gus Atkinson worth Rs 1 crore, KS Bharat worth Rs 50 lakh, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Ramandeep Singh worth Rs 20 lakh, Manish Pandey worth Rs 50 lakh and Saqib Hussain worth Rs 20 lakh. That means, except Mitchell Starc, the team did not spend much money on any other player.

KKR does not have experienced players to bowl with Mitchell Starc.

Kolkata Knight Riders have bought Mitchell Starc, but there is no big Indian or foreign player to bowl with him at the other end. The team has Gus Atkinson, Harshit Rana, Vaibhav Arora, Chetan Sakariya and Saqib Hussain. But the team will not be able to play any foreign player in the playing eleven along with Mitchell Starc, because there can be only four foreign players in the playing eleven and the makeup of the team is such that there are many more foreign players. In such a situation, young and new bowlers like Harshit Rana, Vaibhav Arora and Chetan Sakariya will be seen along with Mitchell Starc. Mitchell will bowl only four overs, in such a situation the opposing team will try to get these four overs and will attack the bowlers from the other end. This can become a cause of tension for the team.

Only one of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Jason Roy will get a chance

Venkatesh Iyer can handle the responsibility of opening for the team from one end, while a foreign batsman will be required at the other end. The team has two options for this. Jason Roy and Rahmanullah Gurbaz. That means the place for the first foreign player will end up here. The team will be able to give a chance to only one player out of Jason and Gurbaz in the playing eleven. Shreyas Iyer will come at number three, Nitish Rana at number four and then Rinku Singh at number five. Andre Russell will come at number six. That means there seems to be a lack of batting depth somewhere in the team. However, the team must be heaving a sigh of relief with the arrival of Ramandeep. He can also be given a chance in the playing eleven. Recently, Ramandeep had performed well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The team has also bought Manish Pandey at a low price. He can also be seen playing in the playing eleven, but Manish Pandey’s bat has not done much in the last few seasons, so not much can be expected from him. Only one player between Ramandeep and Manish Pandey can be seen playing. Captain Shreyas Iyer will have to decide this.

Opener: Jason Roy, Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wicketkeeper), Venkatesh Iyer, Angkrish Raghuvanshi

Middle order: Shreyas Iyer (captain), Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, KS Bharat (wicketkeeper), Manish Pandey, Sherfane Rutherford
Allrounder: Andre Russell, Anukul Roy, Ramandeep Singh
Fast bowler: Mitchell Starc, Gus Atkinson, Harshit Rana, Vaibhav Arora, Chetan Sakariya, Saqib Hussain
Spinner: Sunil Narine, Varun Chakraborty, Suyyash Sharma, Mujeeb Ur Rehman

KKR’s probable playing XI in the first match: Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh, Sunil Narine, Mitchell Starc, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakraborty, Suyyash Sharma.
