IPL teams can exchange players in this way, know when the trade happens?

IPL Trade: IPL is the most watched cricket league in the world. Many star players have made their career by playing here. Players get both money and fame by playing in IPL. For this reason, all the players desire to play in this big league. The mini auction for IPL 2024 will be held in Dubai. This will be the first time that the auction will be held abroad. Trade can be done through these methods

Trade in IPL can happen in two ways. In this, if one IPL team wants to take a player from another IPL team, then it will pay cash or the trade can also be done by changing the player. According to IPL rules, the IPL trade can take place any time a week after the end of the season and then a week before the auction for the next season. At the same time, trade can happen even after the auction and can happen up to a month before the start of the season. This time the auction for IPL 2024 is to be held on December 19. After the auction, trade can take place till one month before the start of the IPL 2024 season.

Hardik Pandya went to Mumbai from Gujarat

On the retention day of 26th November, Gujarat Titans had retained Hardik Pandya, but the very next day, Mumbai Indians traded Hardik to the Gujarat team. It was a completely cash trade. In exchange of Hardik, Mumbai team gave Rs 15 crore to Gujarat team. After the IPL retention, Cameron Green moved from Mumbai Indians to RCB team. For this, RCB paid Rs 17.50 crore to Mumbai Indians team.

IPL team takes the final decision

Whereas RCB team has traded Shahbaz Ahmed to Sunrisers Hyderabad in exchange of Mayank Dagar. Similarly, Lucknow Super Giants traded Avesh Khan to Devdutt Paddikal of Rajasthan Royals. This trade happens by changing the player. The final decision on the trade lies with the IPL team only. Whereas the consent of the player is required. The first trade in IPL took place in the year 2009. This trade took place between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils. Then Mumbai Indians traded fast bowler Ashish Nehra to Delhi’s Shikhar Dhawan.
