Jai Shah elected as ACC Chief for the third time, decision taken in the board meeting – India TV Hindi

Jai Shah, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, has been re-appointed the President of the Asian Cricket Council. He initially took over the role in January 2021, succeeding Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan. Under the leadership of Jay Shah, ACC has successfully organized the Asia Cup in T20 format in 2022 and in ODI format in 2023.

Jai Shah re-elected as ACC Chief

Jay Shah has been appointed the President of the Asian Cricket Council for the third consecutive time. The proposal for extension of his tenure was made for the second time by Sri Lanka Cricket President Shammi Silva and the nomination was unanimously supported by all members of the ACC at the Annual General Meeting in Bali. Jay Shah’s term has not ended yet and yet he has been elected for the next term. The election of ICC Chairman is to be held around November. There are also reports that Jay Shah may also contest the election of ICC Chairman. At present he is the Secretary of BCCI.
