The first season of Delhi Premier League i.e. DPL 2024 is being played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. In the 23rd match of this league, South Delhi Superstars and North Delhi Strikers faced each other. During this, South Delhi Superstars opener Priyansh Arya created a new record. 23-year-old Priyansh repeated the feat of Yuvraj Singh which was seen in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Actually, Priyansh did a great feat of hitting 6 consecutive sixes in an over. In this way he became the first batsman to hit 6 consecutive sixes in an over in the Delhi Premier League. Not only this, he has become the third Indian batsman to do the feat of hitting 6 sixes in an over. Earlier this record was in the name of Ravi Shastri and Yuvraj Singh.
He did wonders with the bat and hit a brilliant century
Priyansh not only hit 6 consecutive sixes in an over but also scored his second century of this season in the 15th over. He scored 120 runs in 50 balls with the help of 10 fours and as many sixes. With this century, Priyansh became the highest run scorer in the first season of DPL. Earlier, he had scored an unbeaten 107 runs in 55 balls in the match against Old Delhi 6.
Priyansh played 8 innings in 8 matches in the first season of DPL At an average of 82.29 and a strike rate of 195.25 He has scored 576 runs and is the top run scorer. During this period, it has happened only twice that he has not scored more than fifty runs. This clearly shows how dangerous form Priyansh is in.

23-year-old Priyansh Arya is a left-handed batsman and bowls right-handed off-break. He plays for Delhi in domestic cricket and has also played for the India-A Under-19 team. He made his domestic debut for Delhi in 2021. So far, he has scored 69 runs in 5 List-A matches and 248 runs in 9 T20I matches for Delhi. Before the IPL 2025 auction, Priyansh Arya has come under the eyes of all the franchises due to his excellent form. In such a situation, if crores of rupees are bid on this batsman in the auction, then no one should be surprised. Now it will be interesting to see how the teams compete to buy Priyansh Arya.
