PAK vs BAN: A two-match Test series is being played between Pakistan and Bangladesh. The Bangladesh team won the first match of this series. The Bangladesh team is performing brilliantly in the second match as well. Meanwhile, Bangladesh wicketkeeper batsman Liton Das scored his fourth Test century and brought his team to a great comeback in the second Test match against Pakistan in Rawalpindi. After Pakistan’s first innings were all out for 274 runs, Bangladesh’s team was in a difficult situation at the score of 26/6, but Liton along with Mehdi Hasan made a huge partnership of 165 runs for the seventh wicket and brought his team back into the match.

Amazing feat of Liton Das

Mehdi was dismissed by Khurram Shahzad for 78, before Liton completed his brilliant century. Bangladesh lost two wickets in quick succession, but Liton forged another crucial partnership with Hasan Mahmud to take his team past 250. Liton was dismissed for 138, but he led Bangladesh to a strong comeback in this match. With this, Liton Das has joined a special list. India’s MS Dhoni is also a part of this list. Liton became the sixth foreign wicketkeeper to score a Test century in Pakistan. England’s Ollie Pope was the last player to achieve this feat in 2022. MS Dhoni played an innings of 148 in Faisalabad in 2006.

Bangladesh can get victory

Liton’s century and Hasan Mahmud’s half-century on the third day have put Bangladesh on the winning track as the visitors can look to make a strong push on the fourth and fifth days as Pakistan have already lost two wickets and have a marginal lead of only 21 runs. Pakistan, on the other hand, will hope that their big players will take the opposition out of the game. For this, players like Babar Azam will have to make a comeback.
