Women T20 World Cup Trophy
Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is going to start from October 3 on UAE soil. All the fans are very excited for this. Now ICC has announced the implementation of smart replay system for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Smart replay system already used in IPL 2024
ICC has said in its press release that there will be at least 28 cameras in every match for coverage. The Decision Review System will also be available in all matches, with the Hawk-Eye Smart Replay system enabling the TV umpire to instantly review synchronized multi-angle footage to make accurate decisions. Smart replay system will be used for the first time in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. Earlier the smart replay system was used in The Hundred and IPL 2024.
In the smart replay system, the third umpire will now receive direct inputs from Hawk-Eye operators who will be sitting in the same room as the umpire. TV director who served as a mediator between the third umpire and Hawk-Eye operators. He will not be a part of this system. The third umpire will now be able to see the visuals better. Stump cameras record any action at a low speed of around 50 frames per second, while Hawk-Eye cameras record at around 300 frames per second, meaning there is now more precision for umpires to buttress their decisions. There will be footage. Teams will benefit from early DRS decision as it will save their time.
Australia has won the title 6 times
The first Women’s T20 World Cup was played in 2009, when the England women’s team won the title by defeating New Zealand. Since then, the Australian team has had a monopoly in the Women’s T20 World Cup. Australia has won the title maximum 6 times. West Indies won the trophy in the year 2016. this time
