The Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to be held in Pakistan in February next year, but different types of news have been going on about the tournament for the last few months. Recently, a media report said that the date of the Champions Trophy to be hosted by Pakistan may change. Now a big statement has come from Pakistan Cricket on this.

In fact, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has denied recent media reports that the schedule of the ICC Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan next year may be changed. The PCB issued a statement and gave this information. The Pakistan Cricket Board said in the statement that it is disappointing that some media outlets have misrepresented the comments of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in a media interaction yesterday. He was misrepresented about a possible change in the dates of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to security concerns, causing unnecessary sensation.

PCB clarified

The statement further said that while interacting with the media on PCB’s official YouTube channel, the PCB chairman clearly stated that all the three stadiums will be ready by the stipulated time, ensuring the hosting of ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The PCB chairman also mentioned that although some domestic matches may be shifted, it has nothing to do with the ICC Champions Trophy in any way. The statement said that the PCB is fully committed to hosting the Champions Trophy 2025 at three prestigious venues in Pakistan. The PCB has already submitted the draft schedule to the ICC, with the dates for the tournament to be held from February 19 to March 9, 2025.

The biggest question still remains

Although the PCB has denied the news of change in the schedule of Champions Trophy, the answer to the question whether the Indian team will go to Pakistan to participate in the tournament or not has not been found yet. Although the answer to this will be known only when the time comes, but Pakistan will try its best to play all the matches of the tournament on its soil.
