The Pakistan cricket team is to play a three-match Test series at home against England from October 7, the schedule and venue of which was already announced by the PCB, in which the Test matches were to be played between the two teams in Multan, Karachi and Rawalpindi. Now the PCB has made a slight change in the schedule, in which all three Test matches will now be played at the grounds of Multan and Rawalpindi.
PCB chairman confirmed this in his statement
In early 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board is to host the ICC Champions Trophy, for which renovation work is going on at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, apart from this, the situation of Karachi stadium is also similar. According to the statement of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, which was published in ESPN Cricinfo, he has confirmed that all three Test matches against England will be played in Pakistan, in which the matches of this Test series will be played in Multan and Rawalpindi. The spokesperson of the PCB Chairman informed that the England and Wales Cricket Board has already been informed about the change in the venue and they are satisfied with this.
England team will reach Pakistan on 2 October
England team head coach Brendon McCullum had also expressed concern over the non-confirmation of the venue of this Test series, in which he said that his team should know about the venue in advance so that it can select its team according to the situation. The England team will reach Pakistan on October 2, in which the first Test match of the series is to be played between the two teams from October 7.
