Pakistan cricket team’s new test captain Shan Masood will now be seen playing for Karachi Kings team in the next season of Pakistan Super League (PSL). The Pakistan team is currently on a tour of Australia, where he has to captain the team in a three-match Test series starting from December 14. Shan Masood was a part of the Multan Sultans team in the last season of PSL. Karachi Kings won the title in the PSL season played in the year 2020.

The player draft process for the Pakistan Super League season to be played in the year 2024 will be held on 13 December. Earlier, Karachi Kings made Shan Masood a part of their team through a trade deal with Multan Sultans and Faizal Akram joined the Multan team. Shan Masood captained the Multan Sultans team in the PSL season played in the year 2020, while when the franchise won the title in the year 2021 season, Masood was also a part of that team. Karachi Kings have made several major changes in their team ahead of the player draft, in which they terminated the contract of Imad Wasim. Masood can also be seen handling the responsibility of captaining the team in the next season. Shan Masood has so far scored 1318 runs in 42 matches in Pakistan Super League.
Shan Masood made a great start to Australia tour
Shan Masood, who came to Australia for the first time as a Test captain to play a Test series, has made a great start with the bat. In the four-day practice match against Prime Minister XI team, Shaan performed amazingly with his bat and played an unbeaten inning of 201 runs. On the basis of this, Pakistan team was successful in declaring its first innings at a score of 391. Shan Masood has so far played 30 matches for Pakistan in the Test format and scored 1597 runs at an average of 28.52, which also includes four century innings.
