Paralympics 2024 Day 6 Schedule: India jumped 12 places in the medal tally of Paris Paralympics 2024 to finish with eight medals on a historic day on Monday, September 2. Sumit Antil produced a stellar performance for the Indian Paralympics contingent in Paris on Monday as he broke his own Games record with a throw of 70.59m in the men’s javelin throw event to retain his gold medal. Nitesh Kumar won a historic gold medal in the men’s SL3 badminton event by defeating Bethell of Great Britain in the final.
India hopes for more medals
On the fifth day, India won three bronze and as many silver medals, taking the medal tally to 15 on Monday. The sixth day on September 3 is expected to bring four potential medals for the Indian contingent, with Avani Lekhara and Mona Agarwal in action once again, this time in the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions SH1 qualification event and are expected to compete in the final for a medal after that.
