Hosting Bangladesh in the 2 match Test series was a nightmare for Pakistan. Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 10 wickets in the first Test played in Rawalpindi and then defeated them by 6 wickets in the second Test. In this way, Bangladesh managed to defeat Pakistan for the first time in Test cricket. At the same time, after Pakistan’s shameful defeat at home, there was talk of resignation of captain Shan Masood. However, Masood denied resigning. Apart from this, he also made a big revelation on social media about the video of him and Shaheen Afridi in which it was said that there was a fight between the two on the field of the first Test.
Shan Masood’s clarification came
Actually, during the first Test, a video of Shan Masood and Shaheen Afridi went viral. In the video, Shan Masood was seen keeping his hand on bowler Afridi’s shoulder. But after some time Afridi was seen removing Shan Masood’s hand from his shoulder. After this video surfaced, speculations intensified that everything is not well between the two. Now Shan Masood has given clarification on this video.
Masood told in the post match press conference that Afridi had removed his hand not out of anger but for some other reason. He said that his hand was placed on Afridi’s shoulder where he was hurt. This is the reason why Afridi removed his hand. He said that he feels that an incident had happened when he had placed his hand on Shaheen’s shoulder and he had pushed it away. The captain said that Shaheen was not angry with him, the poor guy was hit by Nahid Rana’s ball and I had placed my hand exactly at that place.
The truth behind the anger on Gillespie
Masood further clarified the video in which he was seen arguing with head coach Jason Gillespie. He said that a video had come in which it was said that he was angry at Gillespie. Revealing the truth of this video, he said that the ball had gone out. Only 8 overs had passed with the second new ball. Liton Das hit a six and the ball went out. When the ball came back, there was a difference of only 5 minutes. The ball they had was several overs older than that. It was 18-19 overs old and ours was 8 overs old. So he was complaining about that to Gillespie.
