IPL 2024 Auction Highlights: All 10 franchises spent a total of Rs 230.45 crore to buy a total of 72 players during the IPL 2024 auction held in Dubai. A total of 333 players were included in this auction, including 14 players who have played for Team India. But out of these 14 players, 6 players did not find any buyer.

These players of Team India remained unsold

A total of 6 players of Team India remained unsold in the IPL 2024 auction. These 6 players are Karun Nair, Hanuma Vihari, Varun Aaron, Siddharth Kaul, Barinder Saran and Sandeep Warrier. All these players had kept their base price at Rs 50 lakh. At the same time, the names of Hanuma Vihari, Varun Aaron, Siddharth Kaul and Barinder Saran did not even appear in the auction. On the other hand, no team showed interest in buying Karun Nair and Sandeep Warrier.

These Indian capped players found buyers

In this auction, 8 out of 14 players of Team India found buyers. These include the names of Manish Pandey, Harshal Patel, Shardul Thakur, KS Bharat, Shivam Mavi, Chetan Sakaria, Jaydev Unadkat and Umesh Yadav. The base price of Umesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur and Harshal Patel in the auction was Rs 2 crore, all the other players came to the auction with a base price of Rs 50 lakh.

Mitchell Starc was the most expensive player

Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc became the most expensive player in the history of IPL. Starc was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 24.75 crore. At the same time, a lot of money was showered on Pat Cummins also. Cummins was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 20.50 crore. Harshal Patel was the most expensive Indian player in the auction. He was bought by Punjab Kings for 11.75 crores.
