India A vs England Lions: A five-match Test series is being played between India and England. The first match of this series is being played in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, a match is also being played between India A and England Lions at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Where Team India has defeated England Lions by an innings and 16 runs. In this match, five wickets of Uttar Pradesh’s experienced spinner Saurabh Kumar were enough to defeat them. Thanks to its first innings score of 489, the host team defeated England Lions very easily.

Sarfaraz’s amazing work continues

After falling behind by 337 runs in the first innings, England were out for just 321 runs on the fourth day. Wicketkeeper batsman Ollie Robinson and captain Josh Bohannon played brilliant innings to keep England in the game, but the Indian bowlers proved too strong. In-form batsman Sarfaraz Khan won the Player of the Match award for his inning of 161 runs in 160 balls in the first innings. After Sarfaraz’s excellent form with the India A team, fans have once again started raising questions on the BCCI selection committee for ignoring the Mumbai batsman. Actually, Sarfaraz is continuously scoring runs in this format, but then he is not being given a chance in the Indian team. Recently he had performed brilliantly in Ranji.

These players also impressed

Apart from Sarfaraz, Karnataka batsman Devdutt Padikkal also registered a quick century, while skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran, spin all-rounder Washington Sundar and Saurabh Kumar registered fifties, helping India post a total of 489 runs. In bowling, Saurabh put in another impressive performance, while Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep took two wickets each. Akash continued to impress for the India A team, taking four wickets in the first innings as well. With a 1-0 lead in the three-match series, India A will play its third and last match against England Lions at the Narendra Modi Stadium from February 1.
