Team India’s squad announced, the big match between India and Pakistan will be played on this day – Hindustan News Hub

There is a different kind of excitement among the fans about the matches played between India and Pakistan in the world of sports. Be it any sport. Be it cricket, hockey, squash or any other sport, fans get to see a tough competition between the two countries. Meanwhile, the Indian hockey team has been announced for the Asian Champions Trophy. In this tournament, a match will be played between India and Pakistan. There is a lot of excitement among the fans for this. Recently, the Indian hockey team has performed very well.

India and Pakistan will come face to face on this day

Harmanpreet Singh is the captain of Team India for the Asian Champions Trophy. Defending champions India will play against Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Japan and hosts China in Hulunbuir from September 8 to 17. The match between India and Pakistan will be played on September 14 in this tournament. Team India will start its campaign against China on September 8, after which it will play against Japan on the next day i.e. September 9. After a day’s rest, India will face Malaysia on September 11 and will play against Korea on the next day i.e. September 12. The semi-finals of the tournament will be played on September 16 and the final on September 17.

Big change in the team

As expected, Krishan Bahadur Pathak has been named as the main goalkeeper in the Harmanpreet Singh-led 18-member Indian squad for the upcoming Asian Champions Trophy following the retirement of PR Sreejesh. Sreejesh announced his retirement earlier this month after India won their second consecutive Olympic bronze medal in Paris. Pathak, who was India’s standby goalkeeper at the Paris Olympics and several tournaments before that, will now take over the responsibility, while Suraj Karkera will be the reserve goalkeeper. Veteran midfielder Vivek Sagar Prasad has been named vice-captain in place of Hardik Singh, who has been rested along with Mandeep Singh, Lalit Upadhyay, Shamsher Singh and Gurjant Singh.

  • Forward: Abhishek, Sukhjit Singh, Arijit Singh Hundal, Uttam Singh, Gurjot Singh.
