Akil Hussain bowled brilliantly for Quetta Gladiators. He took wickets on the second, third and fourth balls of the 16th over against Peshawar Zalmi and completed his hat-trick. He took the wickets of Aamer Jamal, Mehran Mumtaz and Luke Wood in three consecutive balls to take a hat-trick. He took four wickets for 23 runs in four overs of the match. He proved to be the most economical bowler for Quetta Gladiators.
Sixth bowler to do so in PSL
Akil Hussain has become the sixth bowler in the history of Pakistan Super League to take a hat-trick. Before him, Mohammad Aamir, Junaid Khan, Imran Tahir, Mohammad Sami, Abbas Afridi have done this charisma. The first hat-trick in PSL was achieved by Mohammad Aamir in the year 2016.
Quetta Gladiators lost
Even after Akil Hussain’s hat-trick, the Quetta Gladiators team had to face defeat. Quetta Gladiators captain Riley Rousseau won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved wrong. Peshawar Zalmi’s team batted first and scored 196 runs, in response to which Quetta Gladiators’ team was all out for 120 runs. Sam Ayub performed brilliantly for Peshawar. He scored 30 runs in 12 balls. Apart from this, also took 2 wickets. He was also given the Player of the Match award.
