India U19 vs Australia U19 2nd Youth Test: Indian Under-19 team has defeated Australian Under-19 team by an innings and 120 runs in the second Youth Test match. Anmoljeet Singh performed amazingly for the Indian team in this match and it is because of him that Team India was successful in winning the match. He took a total of 9 wickets in the match. He was given the Player of the Match award for his excellent performance. After winning the second test match, the Indian Under-19 team made a clean sweep in the series and won the series 2-0. India won the first match by 2 wickets.
Harvansh Pangalia had scored a century
In the second test match, the Indian Under-19 team batted first and scored 492 runs. In which an excellent inning of 117 runs was seen from the bat of wicketkeeper batsman Harvansh Pangalia. There was no special performance from the opening pair of Vihaan and Vaibhav, but after this, Nitya Pandya, who came to bat at number 3, played an excellent inning of 94 runs. Apart from this, KP Karthikeya scored 71 runs while captain Soham Patwardhan scored 63 runs. It is because of these players that the Indian team was successful in scoring a big score.
Anmoljeet took four wickets in the first innings
In response to India’s huge score of 492 runs in the first innings, the Australian team was all out for 277 runs in the first innings. After this, the team’s condition worsened in the second innings. When she could score only 95 runs. In the first innings for Australia, captain Oliver PK (117 runs in 143 balls) and wicketkeeper Alex Lee Young (66 runs) added 166 runs for the fourth wicket. After the dismissal of Lee Young, the last six wickets fell within 59 runs. Kerala players Inan (four wickets for 60 runs in 22.2 overs) and Ludhiana’s Anmoljeet (four wickets for 72 runs in 24 overs) wreaked havoc.

In four-day cricket, follow on can be given only when the team batting in the second innings is trailing by more than 150 runs. India’s Under-19 team had a lead of 215 runs. After being given follow on, Anmoljeet took five wickets for 32 runs in 13.3 overs due to which the Australian team was reduced to 95 runs in 31.3 overs. Eight Australian players failed to reach double figures while four of them could not even open their account. Anmoljeet took nine wickets for 104 runs in the entire match while Inan took seven wickets for 97 runs. Anmoljeet took 65 wickets in the Vijay Merchant (Under-16) Trophy in the 2023 season.
