Anshul Kamboj took 8 wickets in an innings in Duleep Trophy.

The second round of matches in Duleep Trophy 2024 ended today in which the match played between India B and C team ended in a draw. In this match, 23-year-old fast bowler Anshul Kamboj, playing for India C team, gave a great performance with the ball in which he has now become the fast bowler with the best bowling figures in an innings in the history of Duleep Trophy. Anshul took 8 wickets giving only 69 runs in the first innings of India B team. So far, the best bowling in the history of Duleep Trophy was done by Debashish Mohanty in the match between East Zone and South Zone in the year 2001, who took 10 wickets for just 46 runs.

Anshul gave his best performance in first class career

This was the best performance of 23 year old fast bowler Anshul Kamboj, who plays for Haryana in domestic cricket, in his first class cricket so far. In this match, Anshul took the first 5 top order batsmen of India B team in one go, which includes the wicket of Sarfaraz Khan, a member of the Indian team announced for the first Test match against Bangladesh. Apart from this, Anshul sent Rinku Singh, Mushir Khan who is in excellent form, Nitish Reddy, N. Jagadeeshan, Rahul Chahar, Navdeep Saini and Mukesh Kumar to the pavilion.
