First Pakistan’s wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan created many records by scoring a brilliant century and now Bangladesh’s wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim has created history by scoring a brilliant century. On the fourth day of the Rawalpindi Test, Mushfiqur Rahim scored a brilliant century by thrashing the Pakistani bowlers.

He faced 200 balls against Pakistan’s dangerous fast bowling and scored his 11th century in Test cricket. In this way, he became the third Bangladeshi batsman to score a century against Pakistan in Test cricket. Before this, Javed Omar had achieved the feat of scoring a century in the Peshawar Test in 2003 and Habibul Bashar had done the same feat in the Karachi Test this year.

Rahim created a unique record

Rahim did not stop even after scoring a century and completed 150 runs in 286 balls. With this, Rahim created a new record. He has become the first Bangladeshi batsman to score 150 runs in Test cricket on Pakistani soil. Earlier this record was in the name of Javed Umar who had scored 119 runs in Peshawar.

With this century, Mushfiqur Rahim has become the second highest Test century scorer for Bangladesh. He left Tamim Iqbal behind. The record for scoring the most Test centuries for Bangladesh is held by Mominul Haque who scored 12 centuries in 115 innings. Not only this, Rahim has now become the batsman to score the most centuries in Tests on foreign soil for Bangladesh.

Not only this, this Bangladeshi wicketkeeper-batsman has also completed his 15,000 runs in international cricket on the basis of a brilliant century. He is the second Bangladeshi batsman to do so. Earlier, only Tamim Iqbal had achieved this feat. Rahim is now just 50 runs away from the record of scoring the most runs in international cricket for Bangladesh.
